THE PRINT ROOM / PRACTICAL GUIDANCE
Know your supplies.
A good print starts with a compatible system. These checklists help you ask the right questions before you order.
01 / INK BASICS
Different inks. Different jobs.
DTF, UV, eco-solvent and dye-sublimation describe different printing workflows. Ink formulations are not interchangeable. Match the ink to your machine, printhead and the manufacturer’s requirements.
- DTF: ask about your printer, colour requirements and the matching film and powder.
- UV: share the machine model, curing system and the material you plan to print.
- Eco-solvent: confirm the exact formulation already in your ink system.
- Sublimation: confirm your transfer workflow and the substrate you intend to use.
Send a photograph of your current ink label when enquiring. Consult your machine’s manual before changing formulations.

Build your transfer toolkit.
Start with compatible ink, transfer film and adhesive powder. Before ordering film, confirm the width your machine supports and the peel instructions. For powder, share your fabric and intended application.
Follow the consumable supplier’s handling and curing instructions, and your equipment’s operating and ventilation guidance. Test a small sample before a production run; there is no universal time or temperature for every combination.

Measure twice. Order once.
When requesting a replacement part, share the machine make and model, existing part number, a clear photograph and relevant measurements. For tubing, include the required diameters and length. For power supplies, include a photograph of the electrical rating label and connectors.
Appearance alone does not establish compatibility. Have a qualified technician confirm electrical replacements and follow your machine’s service instructions.
